Cool Fonts Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 9, 2026. This policy covers Cool Fonts Keyboard Pro, published by Space Age Industries LLC, a Chapin Holdings company. Product and purchase analytics described here begin with version 4.0.

Your typing stays on your device

The keyboard transforms text locally and inserts it into the app where you are typing through Apple's keyboard interface. We do not collect or upload typed text, keystroke history, clipboard contents, bio contents, saved phrase contents, or personal keyboard photos to Amplitude, RevenueCat, or Chapin Holdings. The keyboard does not read your clipboard and contains no analytics SDK or advertising services.

Keyboard access and local information

Typing, fonts, themes, and saved phrases work without Allow Full Access. Full Access is optional for haptic feedback and key clicks; enabling it does not authorize us to collect your typing. Preferences, favorites, saved phrases, and photo themes are stored on your device. The companion app and keyboard share the settings and content needed to make your keyboard work. When usage measurement is enabled, the extension can keep coarse counts of use days, sessions with an insertion, and saved phrase insertions in its local sandbox. These counts contain no text and are not shared with the companion app's analytics services, including when Full Access is enabled. Selecting a photo uses Apple's photo picker; the selected image remains local.

Companion app analytics and experiments

The companion app uses Amplitude for product analytics, and RevenueCat for purchase reporting and paywall experiments. Amplitude receives app sessions, screens, onboarding steps, catalog font and theme selections, feature interactions, settings changes, aggregate companion-app activity and milestones, and paywall views, actions, and experiment assignments. Events describe actions and catalog choices rather than the content you create. A personal photo theme is reported only as a personal photo, without its image, name, or generated identifier.

RevenueCat processes a random pseudonymous app customer identifier and purchase records, including product and transaction identifiers, purchase and subscription status, renewals, cancellations, refunds, currency, and storefront information. Product usage and purchase events are associated through the same pseudonymous customer identifier. These providers process app and device information, device identifiers, locale-derived country and language, timestamps, and campaign information from explicit acquisition links. No identified account is required. We disable Amplitude's IP-based analytics and identifier-for-vendor collection. Network requests still expose technical information such as an IP address to the receiving service. Cool Fonts does not collect IDFA, include a Meta SDK, or track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising.

Payments

Apple processes optional Pro purchases. Version 4.1 offers monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions and a non-consumable lifetime purchase, with the price and billing period shown before confirmation. Original lifetime purchases keep permanent access. Subscriptions renew unless canceled through Apple Account subscription settings; canceling renewal preserves access for the paid period. We do not receive your card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. The app validates access with Apple's StoreKit service and supports restoring purchases with the same Apple Account. RevenueCat reporting failures do not remove access to a valid purchase.

Providers, retention, and choices

See Apple's privacy policy, RevenueCat's privacy policy, and Amplitude's privacy policy. Purchase, experiment, and analytics records may be retained to operate purchases, support customers, evaluate app performance, prevent fraud, and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Deleting the app removes its local storage but does not automatically erase provider records or Apple's purchase history.

Children and changes

Cool Fonts does not ask for an identified account, age, or contact details. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. Apple handles purchases and applicable family controls. Contact us with concerns about a child's information. We update this policy and App Store privacy details when data practices change.
