Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of RollSift (the “App”), an iPhone app published by Chapin Holdings (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please delete the App.
1. What the App does
RollSift shows you photos and videos from your device’s photo library one at a time so you can decide to keep or delete them. Deletions you confirm are carried out through Apple’s Photos system, which places removed items in Recently Deleted for 30 days before they are permanently erased.
Deleting photos is permanent after 30 days. You are responsible for the choices you make in the App. We strongly recommend you keep a backup — iCloud Photos, a computer, or another backup service — before deleting in bulk. We cannot recover anything for you: your photos are never sent to us and we have no copy of them.
2. Your photos stay on your device
The App has no account, no server, and no networking code. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, transmitted, or seen by us. The only outbound request the App makes is to Apple’s own location service, to turn a photo’s saved GPS coordinates into a place name, and only when you open the info sheet for a photo that contains them. 3. Free use and RollSift Pro
The App is free to download and includes the complete experience with a daily limit on the number of photos you can decide on. RollSift Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes the daily limit and unlocks additional grouping, sorting and filtering options.

Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price then shown for your plan.
Free trial terms. If you take the free week and do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription begins and you are charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial. Free trials are limited to one per Apple Account and are not available to anyone who has previously subscribed.
Cancelling. Manage or cancel at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, not by us, so we cannot issue refunds. Requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Price changes. If we change the price of a plan, Apple will notify you and ask you to agree before your next renewal is charged. If you do not agree, your subscription simply does not renew.
4. Acceptable use
Use the App only with a photo library you own or are authorised to manage. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App, or use it to break any law.
5. Your content
Your photos and videos remain entirely yours. We claim no rights over them and, because nothing leaves your device, we have no access to them.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue the App or any of its features. We aim to keep it working on currently supported versions of iOS, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost photos. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and you may have consumer rights that these Terms do not affect.
8. Apple
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
9. Ending these Terms
You may end them at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend or end your right to use the App if you materially breach these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “last updated” date above will change, and continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence applies instead.
